Speed & Strength Training

The advanced Aug-Sept-Oct program will focus on strength as it relates to sprinting and explosive muscle development. Athletes will also master proper sprinting technique & mechanics, rate of force production and drills to develop the ability to recruit fast-twitch muscle fiber for dramatic improvements in their ability to accelerate. In addition, we will offer unique quickness and reaction drills and exercises that are proven to transform the athletes overall footwork and increase overall power output.

Skills developed from this program will benefit athletes in Track and Field as well as other sports such as football, soccer, lacrosse and basketball. Moreover, a higher emphasis will be given on core strength, increased flexibility as well an understanding of body mechanics and over all muscle recover and nutrition.

 

High School Speed Training:

This program is designed for High School girls and boys including those upcoming Freshmen. 

 

When will it start?

The first training will be on Wednesday August 2nd and will conclude on October 28th. 

 

What time are the sessions?

2 Session training will be on Monday and Wednesday @ 7:30pm

What additional can I expect?

The HS athletes will include additional resistance (weight) training as well as recovery and nutrition education. These will be advanced sessions so the athlete should bring a recovery drink or food for after practice.  

NCSA College Recruiting Profile
High School Athletes can create a NCSA college recruiting profile that can be shared with other college recruiters for scholarship opportunities.

 

Youth Speed Training:

This program is designed for girls and boys and is appropriate for athletes ages 8 and older (contact coach Greene for approval if you have an athlete under 8)

 

When will it start?

The first training will be on Wednesday August 2nd and will conclude on October 28th.

2 Session training will be on Monday and Wednesday @ 6:30pm
